Equinox Retreat

A low drama larp about impactful relationships, mid-life and acceptance.

In an alternative reality, the turning point of your life is exactly in the middle of it. At the equinox of your life, a symbiotic creature appears. It is an external representation of your emotions and your relations, and you find yourself in a retreat to learn how to behave with your companion, so you can face the second half of your life.

Equinox Retreat is a short form larp about the impact our relationships and interactions with others can have on us. It is a larp about mid-life, about the life already lived and the life that’s still ahead. It’s also a larp about acceptance.

The folder contains the following materials:

• Design Document (written as a full script for the facilitator to run the workshops, the game itself and the debrief)
• Audio files for diegetic announcements
• Print materials (PDF's for name tags and player sheets)
• Practical materials (PDF's of a relationship creation grid and a crafting guide for the companion blobs)

• Number of participants: 6-12
• Duration: 4-5 hours
